What does it mean to be a Light Side Jedi?

As 'Light Side Jedi', we are in tune with the Living Force. As stated in the last lesson this means we must be in tune with the proper practices, uses, and procedures inherent in its utilization. Perhaps the best way to describe the Force, is the way Master Yoda often has. The Force is a moving, living energy field, which flows through us and all living things.

Positive effects can only be produced from actions which do not go against the nature of the Force, which goes without saying: going against the nature of the Force can and will cause negative effects to occur. The reason that the light side Jedi promote peace, harmony, and nonviolent means to solve any disputes is because using negative methods is a sure way to make the situation worse. The more that you travel this 'quick and easy' path, the closer to the Dark Side you will fall. The opposite is also true: if you use solutions that are of the Light Side, you become more of the Light Side. This is the relationship a Jedi has with the Force.... the action you take, and the effect it has on the Jedi. Choose your nature wisely.

So what is the most important thing to learn as a Light Side Jedi student? Some of you have already expressed interest in making your own lightsabers. I do appreciate your youthful vigor and exuberance but you must learn control! Control yourself, and find positive solutions to problems that you may have. By doing this you will enhance your own understanding of the Force, and enhance your ability to use the Light Side of the Force. Control is the key to everything you will learn here. The greatest control is knowing your limitations, they will soon fall away as you become strong with the Force. But until then exercise control by being patient.
